WATCH: President Trump addresses law enforcement officials about MS-13

President Donald Trump addressed local, state and federal law enforcement officials on Long Island, N.Y. on Friday, discussing his administrations plans to defeat the MS-13 gang.

"Big progress being made in ridding our country of MS-13 gang members and gang members in general," Trump tweeted on Thursday. "MAKE AMERICA SAFE AGAIN!"

Attorney General Jeff Sessions visited El Salvador this week to meet with officials to address issues surrounding the violent street gang. Sessions met with the attorneys general of Honduras, Guatemala and El Salvador on Friday.
