Newt Gingrich slams Anthony Scaramucci as 'unhelpful' and 'full of himself'

White House communications director Anthony Scaramucci got blasted by former House Speaker Newt Gingrich who called him "divisive" and "unhelpful."

After Scaramucci insinuated White House chief of staff Reince Priebus was responsible for the leaks coming from the White House, Gingrich said Thursday in an interview on the Laura Ingraham Show, "I think Scaramucci's full of himself... I think he's all excited.

"And I think he's, frankly, talking more than he's thinking. He needs to slow down and learn the business."

Gingrich accused Scaramucci of liking "the limelight" while also saying the communications director is "being more pugnacious than effective."

However he added that Scarmucci could be a "great asset" but followed that up by saying, "I think he has to learn to be a part of some planned process if he's gonna actually live that out."

Reports emerged Thursday that President Trump may be souring on Priebus after Scaramucci seemed to openly criticize the chief of staff and insinuate he may be involved with the perpetual leaks coming from the administration.
