Reports: Sean Spicer has been approached to join 'Dancing With the Stars'

Sean Spicer resigned as White House press secretary on Friday.

Reports indicate he may soon have another gig lined up—as a contestant on ABC's "Dancing With the Stars."

Page Six broke the news on Wednesday, stating that a "TV insider confirmed...that the dancing competition show has indeed reached out to the Beltway insider."

Soon after, Politico corroborated the report of ABC's interest in Spicer with two of its own sources.

Meanwhile, the former Trump administration official is said to have met with executives at major networks to either start exploring a relationship or to discuss potential job opportunities.

These moves come less than a week after Spicer announced he was stepping down from his White House role amid President Trump's decision to hire Anthony Scaramucci as the next communications director.

Should Spicer decide to join "Dancing With the Stars," he would be following in the footsteps of others from the political world including Energy Secretary Rick Perry and former House Majority Leader Tom DeLay.

Both Spicer and an ABC representative declined to comment on the reports.
