Many of the week's biggest stories were political in nature.

The G-20 Summit wrapped over the weekend with world leaders meeting in Hamburg, Germany. The event was surrounded by various protests and demonstrations.

Later on in the week, United States President Donald Trump traveled to France to meet with French President Emmanuel Macron.

Back in the states, wildfires threatened homes in California as part of a record-breaking heatwave due to the area's five-year drought.
