The highlight of this past week in the United States was the commemoration of Independence Day on Tuesday, with fireworks and celebrations occurring nationwide.

The G-20 summit in Germany also began this week as world leaders convened to discuss important topics -- and where President Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin met for the first time.

In other political news, North Korea spent time testing intercontinental ballistic missiles, while the United States and South Korea tested missiles towards the waters of South Korea's East Sea.
