Police say a 30-year-old woman attempted to chew meth she had hidden in her buttocks during a strip search at a county detention center in Naples, Florida.

Summer Nicole Adamson faces charges of alleged drug possession, alleged possession of drug paraphernalia, alleged evidence tampering, and alleged smuggling of contraband into a county detention facility.

Deputies say as she was being taken into custody late last week, Adamson grabbed a bag of meth she concealed previously in her derrière, put it in her mouth and immediately began chewing.

A corporal who approached her vehicle reportedly saw Adamson with a syringe poking out of her leg and a small plastic baggie containing brown powder, which she confirmed to officers was heroin.

At that time, Adamson was placed under arrest and taken to the Naples Jail Center. There, deputies conducting the strip search saw Adamson retrieve a small bag from her buttocks area that she placed into her mouth and proceeded to chew.
