Erendira Wallenda hangs from helicopter by her teeth, breaks husband's 'iron jaw' record

Dangling above the waters of Niagara Falls, Erendira Wallenda broke a Guinness World Record on Thursday previously held by her husband by hanging from a helicopter by the skin of her teeth.

World-renowned daredevil Nik Wallenda broke a world record six years ago when he dangled from a trapeze attached to a helicopter and hovered some 250 feet above a theme park in Missouri while performing the "iron-jaw hang" -- a stunt which requires suspending oneself by just their teeth.

At 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, Nik Wallenda's wife, Erendira, broke her husband's height record when she performed a choreographed routine 300 feet above the waters of Niagara Falls -- including stunts where she dangled from her hands, toes, knees and teeth.

"If a guy can do it, a girl can do it, too," she said after the stunt.
