Woman distracted by cellphone plummets through sidewalk access doors
A woman who was apparently distracted by her cellphone suffered serious injuries after falling into an open sidewalk access door Plainfield, New Jersey, according WPIX.
Surveillance video of the incident shows the unidentified 67-year-old woman looking at the screen of her phone as she unwittingly walks directly into an open sidewalk access door in front of Acme Windows.
She then flips over the open door and plummets several feet into a utility room below, to the shock of two horrified pedestrians nearby.

The woman was extracted by emergency crews and rushed to the hospital, where she is listed in serious condition.
