Alligator crawls up to unsuspecting woman's home

A South Carolina woman received the shock of her life on Tuesday when she and her 14-year-old son were getting ready for bed and noticed an unwelcome visitor sitting outside their front door.

According to WMBF, Mandy Johnson-Plucinski heard the family dog barking and flipped on the porch light. She saw a 7-foot, 100-pound alligator lounging

She immediately called Department of Natural Resources, who gave her the number to contact Russell "The Snake Chaser" Cavender.

As the family waited 40 minutes for The Snake Chaser to arrive, the gator did not move once

By 11 p.m. that night, Cavender wrangled and removed the alligator from the property.

"I thought, this could only happen to us," Plucinski said told WMBF.
