President Trump will reportedly watch Comey’s testimony with his legal team

On Thursday, many will watch James Comey make his first public statements since being fired as the head of the FBI. It appears President Trump will be among them -- but he won't be alone while doing so.

In a Thursday morning tweet, NBC News announced, "JUST IN: Senior WH aide tells @PeterAlexander Trump will monitor #Comey in a WH dining room with his legal team & some of closest advisers."

CNN's Jim Acosta also reported, "the president's outside counsel Marc Kasowitz is expected to be here at the White House during Comey's testimony. That is a very interesting development because it suggests the president is bringing his outside legal guns."

While it isn't yet known if the president will use Twitter during the testimony, Comey has provided details on some issues likely to be discussed in the course of the day's hearing.

In his opening remarks released by Senate lawmakers, Comey confirmed many reports regarding his interactions with the President.

They include Trump's requests for loyalty and comments concerning former national security adviser Michael Flynn's investigation, "I hope you can see your way clear to letting this go, to letting Flynn go. He is a good guy. I hope you can let this go."
