President Donald Trump began this week at Arlington National Cemetery in Washington, D.C., to commemorate Memorial Day with the families of fallen American soldiers. That same day in Boston, Massachusetts, over 37,000 flags were placed in the city's common to honor all military members from the state who have been lost.

Later in the week, President Trump held a press conference to announce that the United States would be removing itself from the Paris climate agreement.

Around the world, the holy month of Ramadan continues to be observed by Muslims in all corners of the globe. In Israel, the Midburn festival -- similar to California's Burning Man -- took place at the end of May.
