Stranger does random act of kindness for woman fighting cancer

An Australian mother going through breast cancer treatment received a sweet surprise while eating at a cafe.

A woman named Helen was eating with her daughter when the Melbourne cafe owner approached her and said her meal was paid for, the Herald Sun reports. Helen, who had gone through chemotherapy, covered her head with a beanie.

At first, she thought it was a mistake; the owner said, though, that another woman with her daughters insisted on paying.

Helen and her daughter were handed the receipt:

"Have a wonderful day," the note read, "God bless."

"This caused myself and my daughter to burst into tears as I got out of my chair to find this gorgeous lady to give her a hug and show my gratitude, but she was nowhere to be seen," Helen told the Herald Sun.

She continued, "A stranger she was to me and she paid almost $50 to make me feel special. I felt her warmth and love and need her to know how much it affected me in a positive way."
