Texas junior high student gets 'Most Likely to become a Terrorist' award

We all know the usual superlatives ... "Most likely to become president" or "Most likely to win the Nobel prize" ... but one junior high school student in Texas may have gotten the most offensive superlative ever.

The Washington Post says that in a mock ceremony at Anthony Aguirre Junior High School in Houston, 13-year-old Lizeth Villanueva was awarded the "most likely to become a terrorist" award.

It was apparently a joke by her teacher, but no one else was laughing.

It was especially offensive since she was given the award right after the terrorist attack in Manchester that killed 22.

The school's principal said an investigation will be launched into the issue and said in an apology on Twitter:

"These award statements and ideals are not representative of the Aguirre vision, mission and educational goals for its students."

Villanueva's mother wants the teacher responsible fired while Lizeth hasn't been back to school because she "feels uncomfortable."
