Baby, 1, reportedly overdoses on methadone in Staten Island
A 1-year-old infant is in critical condition after police say she possibly overdosed on methadone in Staten Island.
The child's mother called 911 around 8 p.m. on Sunday, WPIX reports.
Officers responded came to Grantwood Avenue and found the 1-year-old baby was unconscious after possibly ingesting methadone.
They administered narcan, a common opioid overdose treatment, and the child was taken to the hospital where she is listed in critical condition, WPIX reports.
No one was in custody and the investigation remained ongoing as of Monday afternoon.
