The past week has been chock full of playoff action as the NHL and NBA both got whittled down to their final four teams.

In MLB news, iconic New York Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter was honored with a number retirement ceremony and a plaque being added to Monument Park in his honor.

Elsewhere around the globe, the Ice Hockey World Championships took place, as did the Islamic Solidarity Games, which include Olympic-like events such as gymnastics, boxing and wrestling.
