Concerned mama duck watches as officials rescue her 8 ducklings from drain
A mama duck waited anxiously as rescuers scooped her eight ducklings from a storm drain Monday evening.

Local animal control, sewage authorities and police and fire officials banded together to get the ducklings to safety after the fell into the drain in Washington, D.C.

In a video shared by D.C. Fire and EMS, officials lifted the ducklings out of the grate one by one using a net.

Eventually, a female official could be seen releasing the ducklings back to their mom before they all marched away from the scene.
