Viral photo of Ivanka Trump fools social media

Following President Trump's invitation to controversial Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte to the White House Saturday, a photo of Ivanka Trump began circulating the internet.

The photo portrays the first daughter on a billboard for Trump Tower in Manila:

Venture capitalist Peter Brack was amongst those who called out the photo and the breach of ethics. According to Rare, he said in a now-deleted tweet, "Assistant to POTUS models in an ad for POTUS's new Tower in Manila. President of Philippines just got WH invite."

While the Trump administration has been under fire for accusations of conflicts of interest with Ivanka, this is not the case here: the photo is from 2012.

"This is an old photo. The developer of Trump Tower in Manila has confirmed that this particular billboard was removed several years ago," said a spokesperson for the Trump Organization in a statement.
