President Trump praised Ivanka Trump's newly published op-ed and advocacy for women in the global economy on Tuesday morning, as she arrived in Berlin for the W20 summit.

The president's eldest daughter co-authored an op-ed with World Bank Group President Jim Yong Kim, "Investment in women unleashes global gains," in the Financial Times on Tuesday morning, speaking in defense of renewed investment in "women worldwide."

"Proud of @IvankaTrump for her leadership on these important issues," the president said in a Tuesday morning tweet. "Looking forward to hearing her speak at the W20!"

According to Ivanka Trump's op-ed, some 55 percent of women participate in the global workforce, making them an "untapped source of growth."

"We know what works," Ivanka Trump and Kim penned. "We need to increase access to finance, redistribute care work, accelerate progress to financial inclusion, and offer programmes that train female entrepreneurs and help them access higher value markets."

"Our challenge now is to work together — in public and private sectors — to move decisively to invest in women worldwide."

Ivanka Trump arrived in Berlin on Tuesday morning, where she will attend the third annual W20 Summit on the equality and empowerment of women in Berlin alongside many female world leaders.

Ivanka Trump is expected to participate in at least one panel, where she will discuss entrepreneurship alongside high-profile women, including German Chancellor Angela Merkel, Canadian Foreign Minister Chrystia Freeland, IMF Director Christine Lagarde and Queen Maxima of the Netherlands.
