Seeing Barack Obama speak at the University of Chicago on Monday had the internet feeling a little emotional.

The former president has been out of office for just about 100 days -- and that's far too long for many Twitter users.

Many were nostalgic about his jokes and his manner of speaking, especially since it took three full months for the former president to make his first public speech.

Ahead of the appearance, he spent Sunday meeting with at-risk young men and boys in his "adopted" hometown.
