Obama to speak at the Richmond Forum this Fall

Former President Barack Obama will be the opening speaker of the 32nd season of the Richmond Forum in November.

The Richmond Forum is a non-profit, which aims to "expand horizons, stimulate conversation, and inspire" the community in Richmond, Virginia.

The Forum's Executive Director, Bill Chapman said in a statement "President Obama is, by far, the speaker most requested by our subscribers for next season."

Former presidents who have previously spoken at the Forum's series include President George H.W. Bush, Bill Clinton and George W. Bush.

Obama will appear at the forum on November 18th, and he will participate in a Q & A session.

Actress Glenn Close is also set to participate in the 32nd season, speaking in January 2018 on the subject of "Human Characters." The season also includes tech pioneer Peter Diamandis in February 2018, former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Samantha Power in March, and MSNBC's Joe Scarborough next April.
