Trump shatters one record with his presidential inauguration

President Donald Trump's inauguration may not have attracted record crowd sizes, but it apparently set a record in donations.

The days of events reportedly brought in 107-million for his campaign, double the amount of Barack Obama's first inauguration.

There were a few key differences between the two. Obama reportedly limited donations to 50 grand, Trump did not. The President's performers were not expensive A-list celebrities.

Trump also had significantly less events..some were low cost and one was free.

Several media outlets compared the lower turnout for Trump's inauguration to Obama's. The president's administration criticized the press and claimed they were misleading the public. The national parks service eventually released photos of both events showing the crowds were indeed not as big for Trump.
