Python hitches a ride on the train to Sydney

Ah, Australia.

Though many people who travel by train experience daily nuisances, this one takes the cake.

According to Australia's ABC News, a passenger noticed they were sharing a car with a python.

Though the snake probably could not have eaten the travelers, it was still fairly alarming.

According to a spokesperson for NSW TrainLink, "customers were moved from the carriage which was then locked off and arrangements were made for a snake handler to meet the train on arrival at Central Station."

The snake was successfully removed from the car, and is now safely in the hands of the person who captured it.

Sydney Morning Herald reports that no one is quite sure how the python ended up on the train.
