Dove includes transgender mom in ad about #RealMoms

In an inclusive ad campaign about motherhood, Dove released a commercial about #RealMoms. It advertises Baby Dove and includes stories of six families raising children:

One of the families includes Shea, a graduate student and transgender mother. She and her partner are seen taking care of their newborn son. Shea says they are both the birth parents and have to navigate prying questions. "You get people who are like, 'What do you mean you're the mom?' We're like, 'Yup,'" she said.

The theme of the ad is, "There's no right or wrong way to be a mom -- only your way." Other moms are seen break dancing, rock climbing and farming.

Shea said in the ad, "There's no one right way to do it all."
