Plymouth teenager rescues man on brink of death

A teenager has filmed the moment he found a dying man in the woods in Plymouth, after shouting into a hole to hear his echo, and hearing a voice shout back.

Isaak Eglington-Watts, 19, had been walking in the woods with his friend Emily and filmed the moments he heard the voice to prove to Emily, who had not believed him, that there was somebody there.

Eglington-Watts told Reuters of his initial fear when he heard the voice, but felt more at ease the more they spoke.

He later discovered that the voice belonged to 51-year-old James Thompson, who had been missing for a month.

Thompson had crawled into the hole for shelter after being injured, and survived in there for over a week.
