The U.S. Coast Guard continues to search for a Georgia man who went overboard on a Bahamas-bound Carnival cruise ship.

32-year-old Reco Scott of Decatur fell from the ninth deck of the nearly 3,000-person capacity cruise ship around 5 a.m. Friday, according to the Coast Guard.

A Carnival spokesman told the New York Daily News that other passengers claim to have seen him jump from the balcony.

At the time, the Carnival Liberty cruise ship was only about 10 miles away from the Berry Islands in the Bahamas after originating in Florida. Crew members initiated a search mission soon after Scott jumped, and were later joined by a Coast Guard ship and helicopter. The Liberty had resumed course for the Bahamas on Friday afternoon after the initial search did not yield the missing man.

After searching through the night, Scott still has yet to be located.

According to NY Daily News, Scott was on the cruise for his honeymoon after renewing his vows with Angelijica Scott last Saturday.
