Why Ivanka Trump is known as a 'goddess' in China

Ivanka Trump is fairly popular in the United States, but did you know she is called the "goddess Yi Wan Ka" Trump in China?

According to The New York Times, "[she] is widely adored. Her lavish lifestyle and business acumen resonate with young professionals who are hungry for fame and fortune."

Young Chinese women look up to Ivanka as a leader and a symbol of power and ambition.

It helps that her children and husband Jared Kushner are particularly interested in the country.

On Wednesday, Ivanka shared a photo of her 1-year-old son, Theodore, playing with building blocks with Chinese letters on them, showing he's already familiar with the language.

Ivanka's 5-year-old daughter, Arabella, has been a superstar in China ever since a viral video of her speaking Mandarin gained nearly 100 million views.

She followed it up with a song in February celebrating Chinese New Year.

Ivanka and Arabella were both invited to the Chinese embassy in Washington recently, where they watched musicians perform onstage.
