The past week has been a newsy one around the world.

After a devastating chemical attack in Syria on Tuesday, President Trump ordered the U.S. Navy to conduct airstrikes against a Syrian military airfield in retaliation. The fight against the Islamic State and other terrorist organizations continues in Syria, Iraq and beyond.

Stateside, President Trump welcomed King Abdullah II of Jordan and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi to the White House for separate visits.

In Russia, a suicide bomber detonated in a busy metro station, killing 14.

Severe weather also took a toll this week, with Australians still cleaning up after Cyclone Debbie, landslides hitting Colombia and heat rising in India.
