Kellyanne Conway to hit campaign trail for Republicans come 2018 midterms

Updated

As Republican lawmakers eye midterm elections as a way to strengthen their congressional majority, event details have emerged indicating Kellyanne Conway will play a role on the campaign trail come 2018.

Conway -- who in 2016 earned the title as first female campaign manager for a winning presidential candidate -- is slated for a national speaking tour as she helps boost donations for Republican candidates, including Tennesse Rep. Marsha Blackburn who is up for reelection in 2018.

In a "Women of Distinction" panel preview, Rep. Blackburn's campaign site bills President Trump's current counselor as "Campaign Manager, Trump for President 2016." Tickets for the event are priced between $150 and $2,500 per ticket.

Conway will also appear on May 18 at the New Hampshire Republican Party's "Spring to Victory Dinner" in Nashua and on June 3 at a North Carolina Republican Party luncheon in Wilmington.

"I aggressively pursued her and we desperately wanted her to come speak," Dallas Woodhouse, executive director of the North Carolina Republican Party, wrote to CBS News in an email. "She is very popular with Republican faithful and of course is a 'history' maker due to her role as the first successful POTUS female campaign manager."

Conway remains a vocal operative within the Trump administration, and recently called out the mainstream media for "information underload."
