Nearly 600,000 inhalers affected in massive recall
GlaxoSmithKline, LLC has issued a voluntary recall on one of its inhalers due to a possible defect.
The North Carolina-based company is warning consumers about 593,088 Ventolin HFA inhalers that were sold across the country.
According to an FDA report, a defective delivery system can cause a leak of the asthma medication.
The code information on the product is Lot #: 6ZP9848, Exp 03/18; 6ZP0003, 6ZP9944, Exp 04/18.
CNBC reports the defect is not dangerous, and the company is working to identify the cause of the issue.
