UN Ambassador Nikki Haley: 'No love' between US and Russia right now

The U.S. ambassador to the United Nations is insisting that there is "no love" between the U.S. and Russia right now.

During an interview on ABC News' "This Week" Sunday, when host Martha Raddatz asked Ambassador Nikki Haley about President Trump's dismissal of Russia hacking the U.S. election, Haley said, "President Trump has agreed and this administration agrees that Russia's involvement in Ukraine is wrong and I think that if you listen to what he said about the elections, of course we don't want any country involved in our elections and so that's going to happen."

Haley added, "I think that Russia is very aware that they're on notice when it comes to certain issues. They're very aware that we do want to try and defeat ISIS together if that's at all possible along with our allies. But there's no love or anything going on with Russia right now."

After Raddatz pressed Haley about Trump's past defense of Russian president Vladimir Putin, the ambassador responded by saying, "The president has not once called me and said, 'Don't beat up on Russia.' Has not once called me and told me what to say."

Trump has continued to dismiss Russia's meddling in the US election and instead slammed various media outlets for covering the story.

On Saturday, he tweeted, "When will Sleepy Eyes Chuck Todd and @NBCNews start talking about the Obama SURVEILLANCE SCANDAL and stop with the Fake Trump/Russia story?"

Soon after, he wrote, "It is the same Fake News Media that said there is 'no path to victory for Trump' that is now pushing the phony Russia story. A total scam!"
