President Trump will give the commencement address at Liberty University

Donald Trump will give this year's commencement speech at evangelical college Liberty University, Washington Post reports.

The Christian Broadcasting Network first reported the news, and Press Secretary Sean Spicer confirmed.

Jerry Falwell Jr., President of Liberty University, is a prominent evangelical leader and a Trump supporter. He is the son of Jerry Falwell Sr., Liberty's founder and a driving factor in Ronald Reagan's presidential win in 1980.

Shortly after the inauguration, the president tapped Falwell Jr. to lead a task force on higher education.

Trump had previously spoke at Liberty University in 2012 and again in 2016 during his presidential campaign.

How are Trump's first 100 days going?

Washington Post reports that not all of Liberty's 80,000 students are happy with the announcement. "I think a commencement speaker is supposed to be someone students can look up to and respect and aspire to be like one day," Dustin Wahl told Washington Post. "And I don't think we live in a world right now where the president of the United States fits that criteria."
