Oregon holds off Michigan as Derrick Walton Jr.'s game-winning shot falls short

Oregon is moving on to the Elite Eight. Barely.

The third-seeded Ducks punched their ticket to the Midwest Regional final tonight, surviving Michigan 69-68 in Kansas City.

After Oregon guard Dylan Ennis missed his second front end of a 1-on-1 in the final minute, Michigan had a chance to win it.

They got the ball into the hands of star Derrick Walton Jr., but his potential game-winner hit the front rim and bounced off.

Guard Tyler Dorsey led Oregon with 20 points, including 5-of-7 from three-point range. Forward Jordan Bell was tremendous, recording a double-double with 16 points and 13 rebounds.

For the Wolverines, Walton Jr. had 20 points while Zak Irvin added 19.

Oregon will face the winner of Kansas-Purdue in the regional final on Saturday.
