This GIF has been considered a deadly weapon

A man has been arrested for allegedly tweeting at a reporter.

The post contained a GIF that triggered a seizure, according to Mashable. John Rivello, 29, was arrested and charged by the FBI last week.

On Monday, he was charged with more crimes by the Dallas district attorney, including cyberstalking.

Kurt Eichenwald, the journalist who received the malicious tweet, has epilepsy.

The GIF, which is bright red and yellow, flashes. It contains text that says "You deserve a seizure for your post."

Mashable captured a screenshot of the GIF, and it can be seen here.

Rivello's alleged tweet did trigger a seizure for Eichenwald, and his wife responded to the post in a tweet, saying, "This is his wife, you caused a seizure. I have your information and have called police to report the assault."

On Monday, Eichenwald updated his Twitter followers on the new charges and shared the indictment document. It details how the GIF constituted a deadly weapon.
