Trump supporters don Wall Street 'Fearless Girl' statue in MAGA garb

Two Trump supporters appeared to have snuck Trump gear onto Wall Street's "Fearless Girl" statue, Gothamist reports.

Fearless Girl had been erected ahead of International Women's Day. She's meant to symbolize the few, often forgotten women on Wall Street. Despite controversy, some call for her to be permanent instead of State Street Global Advisors -- the company who commissioned the statue -- taking her down on April 2 as originally planned.

A tipster told Gothamist that she saw two men dress up the statue on midnight Monday morning. She also provided photos of the stunt:

The men put a Make America Great Again hat on the statue, as well as draped an American flag over her. In addition, they littered her with signs with phrases such as "VETS B4 ILLEGALS" and a drawing of Pepe the Frog, a hate symbol according to the Anti-Defamation League.

As photos taken at Wall Street later Monday indicate, it appears that someone else removed Trump merchandise.
