Sean Hannity pointed unloaded gun at Juan Williams off-camera after TV debate last year

Fox News host Sean Hannity, one of President Donald Trump's biggest supporter in the media, once pointed a gun at fellow Fox News analyst Juan Williams following an on-air debate last year, according to a report from CNNMoney's Dylan Byers, who cited three unnamed sources.

According to CNN, Hannity "pulled out a gun and pointed it directly at Williams," going so far as to turn on the weapon's laser sight. Though the incident happened after an on-camera interview, no video of the incident has been made available.

"Sean Hannity has been trained in firearm safety since he was 11 years old and has a license to carry a gun in five states, including New York," a statement from Fox News to CNNMoney read. "The situation was thoroughly investigated and it was found that no one was put in any danger."

Hannity added that the weapon was unloaded during the incident. "While discussing the issue of firearms, I showed my good friend Juan Williams my unloaded firearm in a professional and safe manner for educational purposes only," Hannity said in a statement.

Williams corroborated Hannity's accounts, saying in a statement to the rival news network, "This incident is being sensationalized -- everything was under total control throughout and I never felt like I was put in harm's way."

A request for comment from Fox News was not immediately returned.
