Server in Mexican restaurant in North Carolina found pro-Trump message instead of tip

A restaurant patron in Greensboro, North Carolina, left a pro-Trump message on his receipt in lieu of a tip.

Gerardo Solorio, server at Santa Fe Mexican Grill, found the note shortly after the customers left.

In the tip line they wrote, "I voted Trump." On the signature line was "White Pride."

"I feel kind of like it was racist," Solorio told News & Record. "It made me a little bit mad that they make you feel bad about where you're from."

The receipt came from a party of four; Solorio said he did not receive complaints during their meal.

Solorio showed the receipt to his manager, who does not condone the behavior. "We take care of everybody," manager Samuel Mendoza told News & Record, "no matter what color or what race they are."
