Insane passenger photos show ferry being violently slammed by waves

Updated

You know what they say: Everything in Australia can kill you.

And apparently, the water is no exception.

Travelers aboard a passenger ferry in Sydney unwittingly embarked on an adventure they'll never forget on Saturday.

Photographer Haig Gilchrist captured some terrifying photos of the Manly Ferry, which runs multiple times per day between Circular Quay in Sydney Harbor and Manly Beach, being violently tossed around by waves like some sort of bathtub-variety children's toy.

A subsequent shot shows the bow of the boat nearly taking a complete nosedive under the raging harbor waves.

In completely unrelated news, the drive from Circular Quay to Manly Beach only takes about 23 minutes.
