Teacher finds awesome note written by one of her fourth grade students
Passing notes is usually frowned upon in class, but one teacher was delighted to find this one.
Twitter user @SMLXist shared the note:
My fourth grade teacher friend found this under one of her students' desks. <3 <3 <3 pic.twitter.com/7NSxIa6ujn

"Do you want to join a club for female empowerment," the note read. "We are the leaders."
The tweet gained a lot of traction, getting over 20,000 retweets and 60,000 likes. The user, called Elly, received some backlash claiming the note was fake:
I just find weird that kids suddenly start speaking about politics and social justice when a kid is supposed to be playing

Elly, however, asserts that the note is real:
Believe women. Believe girls.
Believe women. Believe girls.
Believe women. Believe girls.
Believe women. Believe girls.— Skelly💀Ton (@SMLXist) March 7, 2017
"The fact that so many people refuse to believe that a little girl wants to start a club for female empowerment means we NEED those clubs," she said.
This is a developing story.
