Something exciting is coming together in the Nevada desert.

It's a test track for "Hyperloop" technology, which is a high-tech mass transit idea that could, in theory, travel faster than airplanes.

The concept was first introduced in a 2012 "white paper" from Elon Musk's SpaceX.

There are several groups pursuing the concept.

The Nevada track is from Hyperloop One, which is looking to build a functional track in the United Arab Emirates.

For those who always pick teleportation as their superpower of choice, this may be the future travel mode for you.
