Kellyanne Conway, Chelsea Clinton share surprisingly warm Twitter exchange
Senior Trump adviser Kellyanne Conway took part in an unlikely cordial exchange on Friday, when Hillary Clinton's daughter spoke out in Conway's favor.
Conway found herself criticized by many this week after she was photographed with her feet on the Oval Office couch during a White House meeting with HBCU leaders. After Democratic Rep. Cedric Richmond crudely linked the now-viral images to former president Bill Clinton's 1995 affair with Monica Lewinsky -- a joke he later denied making -- former first daughter Chelsea Clinton tweeted in support of Conway, calling the congressman's joke "despicable."
"I hope @KellyannePolls receives the apology she deserves-certainly never thought I'd write that & I mean every word," Clinton wrote in her tweet.

President Trump's former campaign manager was quick to respond to the tweet, using their status as "mothers to Charlottes" as a common bond between them.
"Thank you, @ChelseaClinton. As strong women, as moms to Charlottes...appreciate you speaking out on this," Conway wrote.

Conway responded to the backlash faced after the Oval Office photos surfaced, calling the criticism "vicious" and "venomous."
