Millennials post one item to Instagram more than Obama and Trump combined

If you're climbing a mountain or celebrating a friend's 21st birthday in Vegas, sharing it on social media is more than understandable.

However, a snap of a burger and fries isn't as gram-worthy, unless you're a millennial.

A new study from customer insights company Maru/Matchbox found that 69% of 1,000 millennials take a photo or video of their food before taking a bite.

One scroll through Instagram certainly verifies this.

The hashtag #FoodPorn has over 113 million posts which is more thanObama and Donald Trump combined!

Dining culture has responded to this trend. Restaurants serve larger than life sundaes and are getting more and more creative with every day foods.

The study also found millennials are willing to pay a premium for good food with almost 70% willing to shell out more money for organic and sustainable foods.
