Within days of the killing, that shirt was being sold by the Chinese online retailer Taobao. It cost 6,324 yuan, or $922 American dollars, but is no longer available.

The South China Morning Post reports that Taobao is known for selling imitations of outfits worn by celebrities.

The New York Times reports that some South Korean officials believe the murder was ordered by Kim Jong-un who may have viewed his half-brother as a potential usurper.
