Chinese airline passengers spend 5 days in jail for phone use

We get the struggle... being forced to turn your phone off when flying.

But in China.. It could cost you 5 days in jail

Two people flying to Beijing found that out the hard way.

See more on crime:

According to the Civil Aviation Administration of China, one passenger was held for 5 days for just listening to music.

It apparently happened in early February, at Beijing Capital International Airport.

Then there was a woman heading to Beijing who reportedly got the same penalty for using her phone and refusing to turn it off a month earlier.

In China, that's the law, according to various media outlets. You can be held for up to 5 days.

But even more shocking is the fee you may have to pay. It could be little over 7 grand.

Maybe it's just better to turn off that phone until your home!
