Kellyanne Conway snaps back with mocking response to Hillary Clinton travel ban tweet

Twitter has become the president's preferred communication method, and now the latest spat in politics is playing out over Twitter too.

Kellyanne Conway snapped back with a pithy mocking tweet after former Democratic presidential nominee teased President Donald Trump over his recent legal setback.

Clinton posted a quipped "3-0" on Twitter Thursday night shortly after three judges on the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals unanimously refused to reinstate the travel ban imposed by his executive order.

In response, Conway, who serves as an aide to Trump and is one of his most vocal insiders, tweeted at Clinton, "Pennsylvania, Wisconsin and Michigan."

Those are three key states the former Democratic presidential nominee lost to Trump.

After the panel made its ruling, Trump issued a tweet of his own, writing: "SEE YOU IN COURT, THE SECURITY OF OUR NATION IS AT STAKE!"

But reports have emerged on Friday suggesting that the Trump administration may not seek to fight the ban in the Supreme Court in the near future.

NBC News reported late Friday that White House lawyers are instead working to rewrite the executive order so it would stand up in court.
