Sean Spicer stacks his press briefings against President Trump's tweets

White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer had a heated exchange with a reporter during Thursday's press briefing after comparing his briefings to President Trump's tweets, calling it "the silliest thing I've ever heard."

The reporter initially questioned Spicer about Trump tweeting critically of Nordstrom for no longer carrying his daughter Ivanka's fashion line as opposed to addressing the mass shooting in Quebec Prime Minister Justin Trudeau called a "terrorist attack on Muslims."

The reporter lead the question citing Kellyanne Conway's earlier statement regarding the president's time restraints in addressing news events.

"You just brought that up," Spicer pushed back. "I literally stand at this podium and opened a briefing a couple of days ago about the president and his condolences. I literally opened the briefing about it."

The reporter pressed Spicer further asking why Trump isn't tweeting about the Quebec shooting, to which Spicer responded calling it "silly" to equate the president's tweets to the press briefing.

"You're equating me addressing the nation with a tweet," Spicer asked seemingly frustrated. "That's the silliest thing I've ever heard."

He added, "This is silly," before taking the next question.
