More than one third of Americans don't know that Obamacare and the Affordable Care Act are in fact the same thing.

According to a new survey by Morning Consult, 35% of respondents said they either thought Obamacare and the Affordable Care Act were different policies (17%) or didn't know if they were the same or different (18%).

The contrast is even more evident among millennials and those who earn less than $50,000, two groups that could be significantly effected by a repeal.

Among republicans, 72% did know they were the same.

The findings come as the republican majority Congress last month voted on measures that would make it easier to repeal President Barack Obama's signature domestic policy legislation.

Republicans are also waging war within their own ranks as they haven't come to an agreement as to what a replacement would look like.

President Trump himself said in a recent interview, the Obamacare replacement may take until 2018.
