Woman finds amazing surprise in a rental DVD

Renting DVDs may be on the decline, but this story makes us want to start up again.

Twitter user Liz, @lifeasliz__, received a generous surprise when she opened a rented DVD from Redbox.

"My mom was just hoping to relax and enjoy a movie, but instead God blessed her with more," the college student said.

As it turns out, a philanthropist only known as Marcos put $100 inside the Deepwater Horizon DVD that Liz's mother rented. He included a note that said, "Hello! My name is Marcos. Every month I take $100 that I'd normally spend on myself and give it away to a stranger."

"This month I decided to change it up and put it in a Redbox DVD," he continued. This was his first giveaway this year.

"I just ask that you put the money to good use," Marcos said. if you don't need it, give it away. If you do need it, keep it. Have a great day!"

Liz could not help but share the good deed on social media. She thanked the mysterious giver as well: "Marcos, whoever you are, God bless you."

The move didn't just touch Liz: her tweet went viral, getting thousands of likes and retweets.
