Where is Barron Trump? Donald Trump's son missing from pre-inauguration events

Update: Barron Trump is in attendance at the Inauguration Day festivities.

President-elect Donald Trump's inauguration festivities kicked off with a bang on Friday night, but one notable family member was nowhere to be seen.

While Trump's children Donald Jr., Eric, Ivanka and Tiffany were present at the evening's event, youngest son Barron appeared to be missing.

Trump's family gathered for his first pre-inauguration event, a wreath-laying at Arlington National Cemetery.

Trump, flanked by his wife Melania and children and grandchildren, watched the "Make America Great Again! Welcome Celebration" concert at the Lincoln Memorial.

The event included a performance by Three Doors Down and an appearance by actor Jon Voight.

While Trump's children Donald Jr., Eric, Ivanka and Tiffany watched along with him during the event, the youngest Barron wasn't visible by cameras.

His absence sparked some concern on social media:

Trump's youngest son is in Washington D.C., however. Barron was spotted exiting an Air Force jet at Joint Base Andrews earlier Thursday, followed by his siblings and their families, as well as his mother, Melania, and father.

After the president-elect's inauguration, 10-year-old Barron and Melania are planning to stay in New York until Barron finishes the school year in Manhattan.

He's not the only first child to arouse suspicions at a public event this month. Last week Sasha Obama skipped her father's final public address to the nation, sparking similar questions on Twitter. The White House later reported she was studying for a test.
