On Wednesday afternoon, the official police account for German's Lower Saxony region tweeted about a strange occurrence that had taken place on the island of Langeoog.

Those multi-coloured balls aren't just random blocks of plastic — they're actually the toy containers found in Kinder Eggs, thousands of which apparently washed up on the beach of Langeoog on Wednesday in the aftermath of a storm.
