Young mom dies in front of her 1-year-old son while recording Facebook Live video
A young Arkansas mom's death played out in front of thousands as she streamed herself and her baby son on Facebook Live Wednesday.
Keiana Herndon, 26, started the video by singing and holding her 1-year-old son, Riley. Suddenly, she falls and the phone drops from her hands, according to reports.
Reports said the mom struggled to breathe as thousands watched the video.
Her son could also be heard screaming in the background.
"She go to whipping her face and shaking her head, and I was thinking, what's wrong with Kei? she fell back and then Riley picked the phone up and started talking and playing and then I hear [gasping] then I heard one more ... I didn't hear nothing else," Her aunt, Barbara Johnson, told CBS12.
The video didn't reportedly end until 30 minutes later when a friend found her on the floor and called 911. Herndon later died.
The video has since been removed from Facebook.
Her uncle, Jeffrey Herndon, who viewed the video after her death, said it was "really hard" to watch, according to Fox 8.
Herndon's mom, Mary Morgan told CBS12 that her daughter had thyroid problems.
"The thyroid messes with everything and it triggered her heart," Morgan said. It's a tragedy, I know that much, and I know one thing, I would love to have my baby back with me."
The family has started a GoFundMe to help with Herndon's funeral expenses.
